The dongles provided by BSNL only
works with BSNL sim. If other sim are inserted, then it shows an error message
“Invalid Sim”. Then how to overcome this problem! Well you can configure your
BSNL data card to be compatible with other sim(s) also in just 1 minute. To do
this follow the steps below. This is applicable for both LW272 and LW273 model.

- Press “Windows key + R” to open Run dialog box.
- Enter “Regedit” and hit enter.
- In the registry editor, browse to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Again navigate to the ‘Software”.
- Search for “Linktop 3G” folder and just click on it.
- On the right pane of registry editor double-click on the “Engineer” and change its value to “0” from “1”. (See fig 1)
- Close the registry editor and restart the computer.

Now you can use any sim with the BSNL
dongle, but remember to create a new profile(See fig 2) for other sim( eg. Vodafone,
Airtel, Aircel, Docomo..etc). If you face any problem or have any doubt then
